Overview

This Release Notes provides information about the enhancements and resolved issues in release 2.0.0.259 of CA Spectrum Connector for CA SOI Integration Services (IFW) 4.2. This information supplements and supersedes information in the product documentation.
This release supersedes and includes the features of the last releases.
Supports AdoptOpenJDK Java
CA Technologies, a Broadcom Company, is moving towards adopting more open source technologies in its products. As a part of this strategy, various products have started using open-source implementations of Java. To align with this corporate direction, CA SOI has adopted AdoptOpenJDK (1.8.0.212), replacing Oracle JDK.
The CA Spectrum Connector 2.0.0.259 release contains the following new features and enhancements apart from support for AdoptOpenJDK Java:
  • A new feature 'Dynamic Sync' is introduced. It supports the following modules:
  • Dynamic Configuration Items (CIs) sync. See the Dynamic Sync Feature section for details.
  • Event format file changes sync. See the Dynamic Sync Feature section for details.
  • Enhanced Connector Logging.
  • Enhanced Error Handling to CI and Alert level.
Operating Environment Requirements
The CA Spectrum Connector for CA SOI Integration Services (IFW) must meet the integration requirements as per the CA SOI Connectors Compatibility Matrix.
Language homogeneity is expected across products. For example, a Japanese Spectrum must be used with Japanese CA SOI. Only a single installer in English exists for all the supported languages that were mentioned before.
Fixed in this release
The following issues are fixed in this release.
Symptom:
The maintenance state is not synchronized for RTM tests between CA Spectrum and CA SOI.
Resolution:
In the Connector Configuration XML file, the "InboundTOConnectorTypes" is updated with a new "Application" type.
To sync the Maintenance state of RTM tests, you need to update the connector configuration file('spectrumim_connectorHost_spectrumHost.xml') on the connector host.
