Post Installation Configuration for CABI

casp102
After installing and verifying the CABI, you must Deploy Spectrum Content, Configure Database Driver and Customize CABI Setup for Spectrum.
Deploy Spectrum Content
For Solaris and Linux, change the user to cabiuser and execute the steps. Also, ensure that cabiuser has write permission to the folder where 'SpectrumUpdate' utility files are copied.
From the CABI vcd, copy the entire 'SpectrumUpdate' folder inside the 'utilities' folder to CABI machine, and run this utility to deploy the Spectrum Content on CABI machine.
Follow these steps:
  1. Set BO_INST_PATH variable to the path where CABI installed.
    Example:
    Windows: set BO_INST_PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4
    Unix: export BO_INST_PATH=/opt/CA/SharedComponents/CommonReporting4
  2. Run the following command:
    For Windows:
    SpectrumUpdate.bat -host <OC Host URL> -username <OC Admin username> -password <OC Admin password>
    Example:
    SpectrumUpdate.bat -host http://OC Host name:80 -username <OC Admin username> -password <OC Admin password>
    For Unix:
    SpectrumUpdate.sh -host <OC Host URL> -username <OC Admin username> -password <OC Admin password>
    Example:
    SpectrumUpdate.sh -host http://OC Host name:80 -username <OC Admin username> -password <OC Admin password>
-host can take https if SSL is enabled, and appropriate port number must be provided.
The 'SpectrumUpdate' utility need to be run whenever CA Spectrum version is updated. So, CABI needs to be updated.
Configure the Database Driver
Perform the required configuration to setup database drivers to communicate with reporting database.
Follow these steps:
  1. Copy the CA_NVM_EXE folder from <CABI VCD>\utilities folder to the local disk.
  2. If you are on UNIX environment, set the CASHCOMP variable to the folder where CABI is installed. Example: /opt/cabi41
  3. Run the following command as CABI install user:
    Windows:
    nvm_boxi_post_install_windows.exe
    Linux Or Solaris:
     nvm_boxi_post_install_unix.sh
Log files for this utility can be found in system temp path.
Customize CABI Setup for CA Spectrum
Perform the required configuration to deploy the Spectrum Customization on CABI machine.
This utility restarts the CABI’s Server Intelligence Agent.
Follow these steps:
  1. Copy the PostInstall folder from <CABI VCD>\utilities folder to the local disk.

  2. (On Windows) Log in to CABI machine with Administrator privileges, run the following command:
    PostInstall.bat
    Example:
    C:\spectrum_utilities\PostInstall>PostInstall.bat
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.8
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    postinstall.sh
< folder where CABI is installed>
    Example: postinstall.sh /opt/cabi41/
    Note:
The CABI path should end with '
    /
    '.
Log files for this utility can be found in the following locations:
Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\logging directory (by default in Windows platform).
    Solaris: CommonReporting4/sap_bobj/logging
You must restart the CABI’s tomcat server to complete the post installation configuration.
Spectrum Content Update on CABI Machine
After upgrading the Spectrum, perform the required steps to get the latest content on CABI machine.
Follow these steps:
  1. Stop the CABI tomcat server.
  2. Delete the 'localhost' folder from CABI tomcat's work\Catalina folder.
  3. Back up UdmCAFApp.jar at C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\eclipse\plugins\webpath.UdmCAFApp\web\WEB-INF\lib
where C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\ is the CABI4.x installation directory.
    Note:
Skip this step if you directly upgraded from CA Spectrum 9.3/9.4 to 10.1, because the UdmCAFApp.jar file exists only if you installed CA Spectrum 10.0 and applied the Spectrum_10.00.00.D08a patch.
  4. Copy the UdmCAFApp.jar file which is downloaded into SpectrumUpdate utility folder to following location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\eclipse\plugins\webpath.UdmCAFApp\web\WEB-INF\lib
where C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\ is the CABI4.x installation directory and the UdmCAFApp.jar file is downloaded when you ran the Deploy Spectrum Content procedure.
  5. Copy listParameters.jsp and runReport.jsp from Spectrum <SPEC_Home>/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/repmgr/admin/ to following location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\eclipse\plugins\webpath.UdmCAFApp\web\jsp where C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\ is the CABI4.x installation directory.
  6. Start the CABI tomcat server.
