Ports and Port Ranges for CA Service Desk Manager
By default, CA Service Desk Manager processes use TCP ports incrementally from port number 2100. A typical environment needs around 100 ports to be opened. Along with TCP ports, UDP port 2100 is also required for establishing CA SDM Slump connection.
The following list displays default and recommended ports (and port ranges) for a typical CA SDM installation:
Insights Services Port
CA SDM Tomcat
CA Business Intelligence
Ports and Port Ranges for CA Service Catalog
Specify the startup and shutdown port numbers, if you do not want to use the default ports
We recommend that you do
7777as the startup or shutdown port. Port
7777is reserved for Java Messaging Service (JMS). If you must use port 7777 for the startup or shutdown port, reset the JMS port number after you have finished running the setup utility. Otherwise, port conflicts occur, and the product does not function correctly.
On each host computer where you plan to install CA Service Catalog, specify the port number for CA Service Catalog to communicate with the web server. You can change the default values during installation. If these ports are not available, have other non-conflicting port numbers available. You require port numbers
8085for Catalog Component service communication.
CA EEM by default uses port number
5250(for iTechnology iGateway service). You cannot change it during installation.
CA Service Catalog requires the following ports for communication with products and components. If you have disabled these ports, enable them before proceeding with CA Service Catalog Installation. If you are not using the default ports, verify that they are open before using them. You do not need to open the shutdown ports for the products and components listed in this table:
Product or Component
CA Service Catalog startup port (includes access for CA Service Catalog and Service Accounting Component)
CA Process Automation, CA Service Desk Manager, CA Business Intelligence/CABI Jaspersoft Server Reports
and other CA products that integrate with CA Service Catalog
CA Service Catalog shutdown port
Visualizer port for CA Service Desk Manager
SQL Server server
IMQ port of CA EEM
If you plan to implement clustering for CA Service Catalog, open all Apache JServ Protocol (AJP) and load balancing ports.
