Installation Prerequisites
Verify and complete the following prerequisites before proceeding with
CA Business Service Insights
™ Cumulative Patch 8.3.5.4 installation:
  • Ensure that
    CA Business Service Insights
    ™ 8.3.5 and above are installed in the environment.
  • Back up the Oblicore folders and the system database (MDB).
  • Ensure that the Oracle JRE 8 is installed on the client or server environment as it is required to run the Applet.
Install
CA Business Service Insights
™ 8.3.5.4
  1. Download and extract the
    CA Business Service Insights
    ™ Cumulative Patch 8.3.5.4.0 (
    8.3.5.4.0.zip
    ) from Broadcom Support.
  2. Execute the
    8.3.5.4.0.bat
    file on the following servers:
    1. Web servers
    2. App servers
  3. Restart the  Web and App servers.
  4. If you are using a proxy server to access
    CA Business Service Insights
    ™, perform the following steps:
    1. Clear the cache on the proxy server.
    2. Clear the browser cache and delete the temporary files.
(Optional) Post Install Tasks for
CA Business Service Insights
™ 8.3.5.4
To include the enhancements, perform the following steps:
  • If you are deploying this patch on CA BSI 8.3.5.3 and later you upgrade to CA BSI 8.3.5.4, you must redeploy Flash patch again on top of BSI 8.3.5.4.
  • Once the patch is deployed, delete the browser cache before accessing CA BSI.
  1. To configure Oracle 12c database on a single-tier environment, see Install CA Business Service Insights on a Single-Tier Environment with Oracle 12c.
  2. To replace Java with OpenJDK 8.
    1. Stop all the oblicore services, IIS Web server, and close all browser windows of BSI application.
    2. Back up the Java folder where it is installed on the server.
    3. Replace the Java JDK folder contents (example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_202) with the patch contents (BSI_8.3.5.4_CumulativePatch\AdoptOpenJDK8).
  3. To remove Tomcat 6, Run the
    Tomcat6Removal.bat
    file located in the patch folder (BSI_8.3.5.4_CumulativePatch\Tomcat6Utility)  as an administrator to uninstall
    Oblicore - Tomcat 6
    service from windows services. This will backup and remove the existing tomcat folder %OG_Home%\Tomcat.
  4. To install Wildfly 8.1/JBoss support with JDK 1.8/AdoptOpenJDK 8, see Install Wildfly 8.1 with AdoptOpenJDK 8.
  5. On Web Server(s), take a backup of
    web.config
    and update
    web.config
    with the below details in the
    inetpub\wwwroot\Oblicore</system.webServer>
    folder, towards the end of tag:
    <httpProtocol> <customHeaders> <remove name="X-Powered-By" /> <add name="Content-Security-Policy" value="default-src 'self'; img-src 'self'; style-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'; script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval'; object-src 'self'" /> <add name="X-XSS-Protection" value="1; mode=block" /> <add name="Strict-Transport-Security" value="max-age=31536000" /> </customHeaders> </httpProtocol>
  6. Restart the server.
  7. Start the Oblicore Web Site.
  8. If you are using a proxy server to access CA Business Service Insight™, perform the following steps:
    1. Clear the cache on the proxy server.
    2. (Internet Explorer)
      , clear the cache (delete any temporary Internet files).
Uninstall
CA Business Service Insights
™ 8.3.5.4.
Perform the following steps to uninstall
CA Business Service Insights
™ Cumulative Patch 8.3.5.4:
  1. Log in to the web server. Stop all the oblicore services, IIS Web server, and close all browser windows of BSI application.
  2. Execute the batch file located at
    %OG_HOME%\PatchBackup\revert-latest-change.bat
  3. Log in to the app server. Stop all the oblicore services and close all browser windows of BSI application.
  4. Execute the batch file located at
    %OG_HOME%\PatchBackup\revert-latest-change.bat.
