New User Experience: Start Conversations and Post Comments

Your project team members can collaborate and participate in an ongoing conversation about a project to accomplish a task. Conversations in cappm are a collection of comments about a specific project. Conversations provide a collaborative forum for all team members to do the following:

CA PPM
 are a collection of comments about a specific project. Conversations provide a collaborative forum for all team members to do the following:
  • Discuss resolutions to project issues.
  • Discuss customer feedback.
  • Discuss observations and ideas during the development phase of a software project.
  • Collaborate as one team.
If you have used a message board or a discussion board, you are already familiar with how you can connect and collaborate in 
CA PPM
.
Example: Team Collaboration
A new project has started to upgrade the internal email system. Mike Jones, a team member, knows that Markus, a colleague, has worked on a successful upgrade of the previous email system. Mike starts a conversation with Nicole Fleming, the project manager, and suggests that Markus work on the project. Nicole responds to Mike, saying that she thinks it is a good idea and will talk to his manager.

Follow these steps
:
  1. Click Menu and select Projects.
  2. Open a project.
  3. On the Conversations tab, enter your new message and press Enter.
  4. As a team member, you can post a reply message.
Each conversation includes the following information:
  • The initials and a picture (avatar) of the team member submitting a comment.
  • The time each comment was added.
  • All comments are sorted in descending order, with the most recent comment first.
