As an administrator, you configure the application for users. Manage user access rights, security, organizational breakdown structures (OBS), the data warehouse, the datamart, and time slices. You can also configure options for processes, lookups, jobs, and other system settings.
The following image shows the Administration menu where you perform many common administrative tasks. Menu options vary by release and by access rights. Your menu options might vary.

Many of the support issues analyzed for data warehouse failures are caused by errors or omissions in basic setup information. For example, database configuration, DBLINK, entity or time slice setup, time zone mismatch between the application and database servers, and SQLNET.ORA parameters.
