APM Application Dashboard Lifecycle

The Lifecycle tab in the Application Dashboard shows the application count and annual planned cost for each stage in the lifecycle. You can easily view how many applications are in each stage of the lifecycle. Also, the annual planned cost that is distributed by stage and value score is shown. This tab consists of the following portlets.

Use the page-level filters to filter all portlets at once by OBS, Application Source, Installation Type, Application Vendor, Software Category, and Software Sub-Category. You can drill down to the Lifecycle Drill Down portlet by clicking any segment in the graphs. To access this tab, click Home, Dashboards, Application Dashboard. Select the Lifecycle tab.

Application Lifecycle Portlet
The Application Lifecycle portlet displays a heat map graph showing the application count by lifecycle stage. You can easily determine how the application portfolio is distributed across the various lifecycle stages.
  • The heat map color is based on the application count.
  • You can drill down to the Lifecycle Drill Down portlet by clicking any segment to see the individual applications within that stage.
  • Rolling your cursor over a segment displays the count and axes values.
The portlet includes the same filters as the page, except for the Software Sub-Category filter.
This portlet includes the following metric:
  • Application Count.
    This amount is the number of applications within the lifecycle stage.
Application Lifecycle by Value Score Portlet
The Application Lifecycle by Value Score portlet displays a heat map graph showing the annual planned cost by lifecycle stage and value score. You can easily view how annual planned cost is distributed across the various lifecycle stages and how it aligns to the value it brings to the organization.
  • The heat map color is based on annual planned cost.
  • You can drill down to the Lifecycle Drill Down portlet by clicking any amount to see the individual application details.
  • Rolling your cursor over an amount displays the axes values and annual planned cost.
The portlet includes the same filters as the page, except for the Software Sub-Category filter.
This portlet includes the following metrics:
  • Annual Planned Cost.
    This amount is derived from the application Cost Plan of Record under Financial Planning. Costs are displayed for the current fiscal year. If the application does not have a Cost Plan, this amount is derived from the application Financial Summary Planned Cost that is prorated for the current fiscal year.
  • Value Score.
    This score is an aggregated calculated attribute that is derived from the application latest assessment that has a status equal to Final.
Lifecycle Drill Down Portlet
The Lifecycle Drill Down portlet provides scoring detail and various metrics at the application level. Clicking an application navigates to the application properties page. Rolling your cursor over a score in the grid displays the score value.

This drill-down grid portlet includes the following metrics:
  • Value Score.
    This score is an aggregated calculated attribute that is derived from the application latest assessment that has a status equal to

  • Technical Score.
    This score is an aggregated calculated attribute that is derived from the application latest assessment that has a status equal to

  • Risk Score.
    This score is an aggregated calculated attribute that is derived from the application latest assessment that has a status equal to

  • Number of Users.
    This amount is the Number of Users field from the application properties page.
  • Annual Planned Cost.
    This amount is derived from the application Cost Plan of Record under Financial Planning. Costs are displayed for the current fiscal year. If the application does not have a Cost Plan, this amount is derived from the application Financial Summary Planned Cost that is prorated for the current fiscal year.
  • Total Number of Users.
    This amount is a sum of Number of Users.
  • Total Annual Planned Cost.
    This amount is a sum of Annual Planned Cost.
