ARD Installation Overview

As a system administrator, you install and configure first ARD Hub, then the ARD Insights web interface, and then ARD Studio, the desktop application for your users.

For you as tester, product owner, or business analyst who designs requirements, using a common repository such as ARD Hub simplifies collaboration in your Agile team. The ARD Hub is a replacement service for our use of the Test Data Manager repository.
ARD Architecture Overview
After a system administrator installs and configures ARD Hub, users can connect to it through the
Agile Requirements Designer
Studio desktop application or the web interface. The web interface is part of the ARD Hub installation. For information about Flow storage alternatives, see Flow Management.

ARD Installation Overview
As a system administrator, you first install and configure ARD Hub and the ARD Insights web interface, and then the desktop applications. ARD Hub is available as a docker container for Linux servers.
  1. Alternatively, use the manual procedure described in Install ARD Hub Manually for Windows.
  2. Configure LDAP and add users to ARD Hub.
    Your users can now use ARD Hub and ARD Insights.
  3. Alternatively, larger companies may prefer the automatable procedure described in Install ARD Studio Without User Interaction.
    You users can now use the desktop application to connect to ARD Hub.
After the installation, you may want to Upgrade or Reconfigure ARD Hub, Enable Standard Settings and Advanced Features (ARD Studio), and Add Users to ARD Hub.
