Welcome to the CA Workload Automation WCC Command Sponsor Readme. This file contains product installation considerations, operating system support, and known issues.
Operating System Support
The Command Sponsor is supported on the following operating systems:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (x86 64-bit), 2008 R2 (x86 64-bit), 2012 R2 (x86 64-bit)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6, and 7.2 (x86 64-bit)
  • SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 and 12 (x86 64-bit)
  • IBM AIX 6.1, 7.1, and 7.2 (64-bit)
  • Hewlett-Packard HP-UX 11i v3 (11.31) (PA-RISC and Itanium) (64-bit)
  • Solaris 10 and 11 (SPARC) (64-bit)
Note:
  • On all platforms, the Command Sponsor runs in 32-bit mode.
  • If iGateway is already installed on the server, it must be the 64-bit version.
System Requirements
Disk Space
Once installed, the space needed is:
  • 23 (+5) MB for iGateway (if not already present)
  • 140 kB (+5 MB) for the Command Sponsor
  • For the JRE (always installed):
    • 250 MB (HP-UX Itanium)
    • 119 MB (HP-UX PA-RISC)
    • 134 MB (Linux)
    • 113 MB (Solaris)
    • 85 MB (Windows)
Note:
When installing, free space equal to the total space requirements for iGateway, the Command Sponsor, and the JRE must be available in the temporary folder. If there is not enough space on the system, then the installation may terminate. If there is not enough free space in the default folder (on *nix, this is /tmp; on Windows, this is %TMP%), then you need to modify the values.
