Telemetry

Telemetry is a capability that is integrated into CA App Synthetic Monitor to send product usage data to CA Technologies, a Broadcom Company (CA). This data helps CA gain insights into customers' product usage, understand their software needs, and focus on the features and platforms that are most commonly used.

This data helps CA gain insights into customers' product usage, understand their software needs, and focus on the features and platforms that are most commonly used. 
The data is only collected and stored in the database
 
if you have signed the Portfolio License Agreement with Broadcom.
Telemetry does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive information.
What Data Do We Collect?
If you have a Portfolio License Agreement in your contract with Broadcom, we will enable the feature for you and pre-fill all the fields necessary but the Internal Identifier.
All fields can be edited in User Preferences form online.
The following table describes the data that is pre-filled by 
DX APP Synthetic Monitor
 administrator for customers with Portfolio License Agreement contract:
Domain name
Your company's domain name (the last part of your company's email address). For example, in [email protected], the domain name is company.com.
Enterprise site ID
Your company's site ID that is listed on the CA Support portal.
Internal Identifier
(Optional) Specify a department or cost center that you use for internal tracking. For example, IT-Sales-1234.

How Frequently Do We Collect the Telemetry Data?
By default, telemetry collects and stores the data daily at 12.00 a.m. If the scheduler is not active at 12.00 a.m., the data is collected only in the next day run. The data is collected only once per day.
How to Configure 
DX APP Synthetic Monitor
 to Collect and Send Telemetry Data to CA?
There is nothing that you need to configure at the moment but for your optional fields. If you have Portfolio License Agreement contract that is signed with Broadcom, we will fill in all fields automatically for you.
Specify a department or cost center that you use for internal tracking in the "Internal Identifier" preferences form field. For example, "IT Sales."
