The Clustered Environment Monitoring (cluster) probe monitors Microsoft, Red Hat, Red Hat Pacemaker Cluster, HP-UX service guard and Veritas clusters.
The probe enables failover support for the probes in a clustered environment. The probe configurations that are saved in a resource group remain the same, even when that resource group moves to another cluster node. The probe sends alarms when a resource group or cluster node changes state.
All cluster nodes within a cluster must have the same set of probes.
HP-UX Service Guard Cluster
Some important information regarding HP-UX service guard clusters is given as follows:
- Supports package failover.
- A package is equivalent to a resource group.
- Supports only processes, logmon, and cdm probes.
- url_response probe is not supported on HP-UX service guard cluster. The url mode profiles are not functional in logmon deployed on cluster probe.
- Supports clustered drives in cdm probe if the serviceguard has veritas CFS file system.
- Supports Serviceguard version A.11.19.00
- Alarms are only be generated for discovered packages.
- GUI only shows packages that are attached to a particular node.
