Unable to Connect to the Storage System
Valid on ibm_svc probe version 1.06 or later
Symptom:
Unable to connect to the storage system using the Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Solution:
Ensure that the TLS protocol is enabled in the probe.
Follow these steps:
  1. Open 
    Raw Configure
     for the ibm_svc probe.
  2. Navigate to the 
    startup
     folder and edit the 
    options
     key to include the TLS versions:
     -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2
  3. Save your configuration changes.
Unable to Retrieve Latency Data
Symptom:
The probe is unable to retrieve latency data for V7000 device on Firmware versions 7.4 and 7.5.
Solution:
Follow these steps:
  1. Open 
    Raw Configure
     for the ibm_svc probe.
  2. Set the value of 
    delay_lsdumps_cmd
     key to specify the time interval to execute the lsdumps commands. For example, you can set the value of this key to 30000, so that the probe delays the execution of lsdumps commands by 30000 seconds.
    Default: 30000
  3. Set the value of 
    new_session_on
     key to 
    Yes
     to enable the probe to create a new session to execute lsdumps command. This enables you to retrieve latency data for the specified time.
    Default: No
  4. Save your configuration changes.
