The NetApp Data ONTAP Monitoring (netapp_ontap) probe remotely monitors the health and performance of storage objects and systems running Data ONTAP 8.2x, 8.3x, and 9.x versions in Cluster mode.
The probe does not support metro clusters.
The probe can monitor the following storage components:
  • Aggregates
  • Clusters
  • Controllers
  • Hardwares
    • Disks
      • Used Disks
    • Ethernet Interfaces
  • System Statistics
  • VServers
    • LUNs
    • Qtrees
    • Quotas
    • Shares
    • Volumes
The probe allows you to define static and dynamic alarms and their corresponding threshold values. The probe then generates alarms when the corresponding threshold values are breached. You can also view the monitored data at customizable intervals using generated QoS messages. Refer netapp_ontap Metrics- Pre-release to understand the monitoring capabilities of the probe.
