uimpga-ga
The URL Endpoint Response Monitoring (url_response) probe allows you to:
  • monitor time duration for downloading a web page
  • perform comparison checks on page contents
  • generate quality of service (QoS) messages that are used for the analysis purpose
The probe supports proxies and user authentication for accessing the requested web URL.
The probe generates only one alarm even though multiple alarm conditions are met. The probe assigns a priority to each alarm type and only generates the alarm of the highest priority. Refer the
url_response Metrics
 article for alarm priority.
The alarm in the current monitoring interval is generated according to the following conditions:
  • The probe generates a new alarm in the current interval, if the highest priority alarm in the interval is greater than the alarm generated in the previous interval.
  • The probe generates a clear alarm in the current interval, if the highest priority alarm in the interval is lower than the alarm generated in the previous interval. The probe generates the new lower priority alarm after the clear alarm.
  • The probe generates the same alarm in the current interval, if the highest priority alarm in the interval is same as that of the previous interval.
The probe generates a clear alarm if the alarm changes with the same priority, such as in the case of
