Dashboard Specific Requirements
The following requirements exist:
Manually Update Dashboards Menu Using LAR Files for SAP Dashboards
The Liferay Archive (LAR) files that generate the Unified Dashboard menu items in UMP are not updated during installation. This preserves any customizations that you have made to your LAR files. Use this procedure to manually update the Unified Dashboards menu for a user or a user group to create and update the menu options for SAP Dashboards.
Custom pages will not be available after you import the LAR file.
Follow these steps:
  1. Download the following LAR file to your local system.
    ca_business_intelligence_dashboards-8.51.lar
  2. Log in to UMP as an administrator.
  3. Click
    Go to
    ,
    Control Panel
    on the menu bar.
  4. Click
    My Pages
    , and then click
    Private Pages
    .
  5. Click
    Import
    , the Import panel appears.
  6. Select the LAR file and click
    Import
    . You need not change any of the options.
  7. Expand the Unified Dashboards, CA Business Intelligence Dashboards, SAP Summary node in the Private Pages tree and verify that the list contains SAP reports.

  8. Save your changes.
The SAP dashboards appear in the Unified Dashboards, CA Business Intelligence menu for authorized users.
SAP Summary Dashboard
The following table shows examples of the types of dashlets that appear in the SAP Summary dashboard.

Overview Header
A report that provides a general summary panel for alarms that are associated with a dashboard.
This report is context-sensitive and appears in multiple dashboards. The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection and type of dashboard.

A report that lists SAP systems, open alarms, logged in users, active instances/nodes, CPU utilization, memory utilization, and SWAP memory utilization.

Top Instances by Alarm
A report that lists instances by alarm count.
The number of items that are displayed in the report can be changed using the Filters for the portlet.

Alarms
A report to view alarm count by severity.  The following actions are possible:
  • (
    uim_core_dashboards_pack.zip version 2.40 or later
    ) Click a column for an alarm severity to view a filtered list of alarms in the Alarm view.
  • Click the open alarms link on this report to view an Alarm Summary dashboard.
The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection and type of dashboard.

SAP Systems
A report that lists SAP systems by Resource Type. Select one of the links (SAP systems) on this report to view Metrics, Components, and Metric Detail of each system.
The number of items that are displayed in the report can be changed using the Filters for the portlet.

Metrics
A report that lists the active metrics and any associated alarms for a device, group, or probe. Click a metric to view more metric details over time within the current dashboard.
The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection.
At least one metric must be configured in a probe to collect data.

Components
A report that displays device component data for a selected metric or device. Click a component name to view average, minimum, and maximum metric values for a specific component in the Metric Detail report.
The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection.
At least one metric must be configured in a probe to collect data.
SAP_MetricDetail.PNG
Metric Detail
A report that displays data for the selected metric over time. By default, this report shows the Top N for the selected metric if a specific device or component is not selected. The details in this report can be modified by:
  • Clicking a device in the Devices report or a component in the Components report.
  • Clicking an item in the report legend.
The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection.
At least one metric must be configured in a probe to collect data.
