This article describes the Summary Dashboard and the CA UIM default dashboards you can access from the Summary dashboard. The default dashboards display a default set of data you can use to optimize your CA UIM environment.
This article is for deployments with uim_core_dashboards_pack.zip 2.20 and later. For information about older dashboard versions, see Previous Versions of Summary Dashboards.

Dashboard Specific Requirements
You must have CA UIM installed and configured.
Summary Dashboard
Use this dashboard to view problematic devices, probes, and groups in a CA UIM environment. This dashboard provides a breakdown of your inventory, and overview of alarms and provides links that you can use to access more detailed information.
You can access the following dashboards from the Summary Dashboard:
  • Alarm Summary dashboard
  • Device Summary dashboard
  • Group Summary dashboard
  • Inventory Summary dashboard
  • Probe Detail dashboard or the available probe-specific dashboard
The following table shows examples of the types of dashlets that appear in the Summary dashboard.

Alarm Summary Dashboard
Use this dashboard to view open alarms for a  group, device, or probe. The context in which you view the dashboard filters the data that appears. You can view an overview of all alarms in your CA UIM environment, alarms for a specific group of devices, alarms for a specific device, and alarms from a specific probe. To access this dashboard, click the link on an Open Alarms dashlet.

Use this dashboard to view device attributes, key performance indicators (KPIs), groups, and metrics associated with a specific device. To access this dashboard, click the link for a device.

In the context of the Device Summary dashboard, the report displays information for a specific device.
This report provides the data for all the Summary dashboard reports.
KPI metrics for the device must be active. For more information, see Default KPIs for Device KPI Report.

Metrics
A report that lists the active metrics and any associated alarms for a device, group, or probe. Click a metric to view additional metric details over time within the current dashboard. 
This report is context-sensitive and appears in multiple dashboards. The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection and type of dashboard.
In the context of the Device dashboard, the report displays information for the metrics that are collected on a specific device.
At least one metric must be configured in a probe to collect data.

Components
A report that displays device component data for a selected metric or device. Click a component name to view average, minimum, and maximum metric values for a specific component in the Metric Detail report.
This report is context-sensitive and appears in multiple dashboards. The information that appears in this report is filtered based on your current selection and type of dashboard.

Metric Detail
A report that displays data for the selected metric over time. By default, this report shows the Top N for the selected metric if a specific device or component is not selected. The details in this report can be modified by:
  • Clicking a component in the Components report.
  • Clicking an item in the report legend.

Use this dashboard to view the alarms, devices, metrics, and probes associated with a specific CA UIM group. To access this dashboard, click the link for a group.

Use this dashboard to view a list of components by device role and alarm state. To access this dashboard, click the link on the Device by Role dashlet.

Probe Detail Dashboard
Use this dashboard to view monitored devices, alarms, metrics, and KPIs associated with a specific probe. To access this dashboard, click the link for a probe.
This is a default dashboard for any probe. Some probes might have probe-specific dashboards and KPIs. For example, AWS has a probe-specific dashboard. See the probe-specific dashboard articles for more information.
