Use Regular Expressions with Java-based Probes

You can use Java regular expressions (regex) for Java-based probes in the canm Admin Console (AC) user interface. To specify the results of a search, use Java regex in any AC search filter field. The Java regex API is located in the java.util.regex package. The java.util.regex is included with the Java Standard Environment (JSE) for JSE versions 1.4 and later. In Java, the pattern class is used to create regular expressions. A pattern is a precompiled regular expression in object form (as a pattern instance). A pattern can be matched against a text string. The syntax for the Java Regex is a combination of Perl and Posix type syntax. For more information about the Java regex API, including examples of syntax, see the Oracle documentation for Java.
