You can configure flow monitoring from
Network Flow Analysis
in
NetOps Portal
.
You can configure flow monitoring from
Network Flow Analysis
in
NetOps Portal
. Configure the overall application settings and the WatchDog service settings.
You can do the following from
NetOps Portal
:
  • Monitor
    Network Flow Analysis
    components that use the WatchDog service.
  • Manage (view, add, delete, and edit) the details about the harvesters that supply flows to
    DX NetOps
    .
  • Enable and disable network flow processing for your
    Network Flow Analysis
    interfaces, and delete interfaces.

The application settings or WatchDog settings that you leave blank default to the values that
NetOps Portal
fetches from
Network Flow Analysis
.

Configure Application Settings
You can configure many
Network Flow Analysis
settings from
NetOps Portal
.

Follow these steps:
  1. Hover over
    Administration
    ,
    Data Sources
    , and then click the
    Network Flow Analysis
    datasource.
    The page for the data source opens.
  2. Select
    Application Settings
    from the menu on the left side of the page.
    The
    Application Settings
    pane opens.
  3. Change the settings as needed, and then click
    Save
    .
Configure the WatchDog Settings
You can change WatchDog service settings, such as thresholds, trap settings, polling settings, notification addresses, and community strings from
NetOps Portal
.

Follow these steps:
  1. From the data source page, select
    Watchdog Settings
    from the menu on the left side of the page.
    The
    Watchdog Settings
    pane opens and displays the current settings.
  2. Change the settings as needed, and then click
    Save
    .
Manage Harvesters
You can manage harvesters by adding them, editing the details for them, and deleting them.

Edit AS Names
You can edit the AS Names as needed to make interface report labels more user-friendly. AS names are domain-specific and the changes that you make affect reports about interfaces in the selected domain.
Follow these steps:
  1. From the data source page, select
    AS Names
    from the menu on the left side of the page, under
    Define an Application
    .
    The
    AS Names
    pane opens and displays the Domains and the corresponding AS Names associated with them.
  2. Select the row for the AS number that you want to edit, and then click
    Edit
    .
    The
    Edit AS Names
    dialog opens.
    To restore an AS name to its official value, select the row, click
    Reset
    , and then
    OK
    in the confirmation box that opens.
  3. Enter the desired description in the
    New Name
    field, and then click
    Save
    .
    The
    Old Name
    value is the official (base) name for the AS. You cannot edit this value.
