Unable to Resolve Issue

If you cannot resolve an issue, use the CA Remote Engineer (CARE) tool. The CARE tool gathers data that a CA Support Engineer can use to help you troubleshoot a problem. CARE contains configuration files in its scripts directory for every product that CARE supports.

The data repository installer extracts CARE to the
/opt/CA/IMDataRepository_vertica9/RemoteEngineer
directory.
When prompted by a Broadcom Support Engineer, take the following steps to run CARE to collect troubleshooting data.
Follow these steps:
  1. At a command prompt, navigate to the relevant installation directory by issuing the following command:
    cd <
    Component_Install_Directory>
    • Component_Install_Directory
      Specify the directory where CARE is installed.
  2. Issue the following command:
    ./re.sh
    The first time that you run the command, a license agreement appears.
