Unable to Resolve Issue

If you cannot resolve an issue, use the CA Remote Engineer (CARE) tool.
If you cannot resolve an issue, run the CA Remote Engineer (CARE) tool. Broadcom Support uses the information that this tool collects to help you troubleshoot issues. This tool includes configuration files in its scripts directory for every product that CARE supports.
CARE is installed in the following directories when for the following
DX NetOps Performance Management
components:
Component
Installation Directory
NetOps Portal
<installation_directory>
/PerformanceCenter/RemoteEngineer
Data Aggregator
/opt/IMDataAggregator/RemoteEngineer
Data Collector
/opt/IMDataCollector/RemoteEngineer
Data Repository
The data repository installer extracts CARE to the following directory:
  • (21.2.2 or lower)
    /opt/CA/IMDataRepository_vertica9/RemoteEngineer
  • (21.2.3 or higher)
    /opt/CA/IMDataRepository_vertica10/RemoteEngineer
Run the CARE Tool
When prompted by Broadcom Support, collect troubleshooting data by running CARE.
Follow these steps:
  1. At a command prompt, navigate to the relevant installation directory by issuing the following command:
    cd <
    Component_Install_Directory>
    • Component_Install_Directory
      Specify the directory where CARE is installed.
  2. Issue the following command:
    ./re.sh
    The first time that you run the command, a license agreement appears.
