Configure the Authentication Mechanisms

You can view the settings that control the authentication mechanisms that
NetOps Portal
uses using
NetOps Portal
. You can manage these settings using the Single Sign-On Configuration (SSOConfig) and the SSL Configuration tools. This article details how to view the settings in
NetOps Portal
.

Follow these steps:
  1. Log in as a user with administrative role rights.
  2. Hover over
    Administration
    ,
    Configuration Settings
    , and then click
    Security Settings
    .
    The
    Security Settings
    page appears.
  3. In the
    Authentication Mechanisms
    section, view the following settings:
    • Enable SAML 2.0 authentication
      Specifies if SAML authentication uses user identities and authorization by another authentication source. For example, users can log in to
      NetOps Portal
      using their corporate credentials.

      Default:
      Disabled
    • Enable LDAP authentication
      Specifies if Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication uses user identities and authorization by another authentication source. For example, users can log in to
      NetOps Portal
      using their corporate credentials.
