New Features
CA Business Intelligence
 Integration
CA Performance Management
 now integrates with
CA Business Intelligence
 to provide
CA Performance Management
 content in
CA Business Intelligence
reports. For more information, see Integrate CA Business Intelligence.
Disaster Recovery
CA Performance Management
now supports a disaster recovery plan that enables a rapid transfer to a new system. For more information, see Disaster Recovery.
FIPS-Compliant Encryption
You can now configure
CA Performance Management
to use FIPS-compliant encryption and hashing algorithms (where applicable). For more information, see Enable FIPS-Compliant Encryption.
CA Performance Management
is not fully FIPS-compliant. This feature is for FIPS-compliant encryption only and does not meet full FIPS compliance.
OpenAPI App View
An app view is now available for custom OpenAPI apps. The process to deploy apps has been streamlined. For more information, see OpenAPI Apps.
SD-WAN Support
The release introduces support for SD-WAN monitoring that supports the Viptela SD-WAN solution. For more information, see Monitor SD-WAN.
You must work with a CA representative to enable the SD-WAN monitoring functionality.
The following video highlights this feature:

Views
The following views are now available in
Performance Center
:
  • Card View
View cumulative counts of groups, devices, or components for the specified threshold ranges of each specified metric. You can specify thresholds with up to two decimals places with the lowest value being 0.01. Values that are entered with more than two decimal places are rounded. For more information, see Card Views.
  • Map View
View the location of each site. When a site is selected, the connections to and from other sites appear. The connection lines are color-coded based on health metrics. Site router details appear when you hover over a site. Tunnel details appear when you hover over a connection. For more information, see Map Views.
  • Inventory Hierarchy View
View the group tree and dynamically filters devices and components to the selected group. For more information, see Inventory Pages and Views.
Enhancements
ACI Console Improvements
The release introduces the following improvements to the ACI Console:
  • The inventory pane includes a health-score filter. The inventory shows nodes that include items with a health score lower than or equal to the filter.
  • The ACI Console includes performance data. The following metrics appear on the diagrams:
    • ACI health score
    • CPU utilization
    • Memory utilization
    • Interface utilization
  • The ACI diagrams show alert icons that indicate when performance metrics exceed custom thresholds.
  • You now have the ability to monitor policy CAM utilization on Nexus 9K switches.
For more information, see Monitor Cisco ACI.

Data Sources Web Service Call
The following web service call on
Performance Center
is now available for the data sources web service:
  • get
    Performance Center
    GUID
This operation retrieves the unique identifier for the instance of
    Performance Center
    .
    URL:
    http://hostname:8181/pc/center/webservice/datasources/performanceCenterGUID
    HTTP method = GET
    XSD for the provided XML:
    http://hostname:8181/pc/center/rest/datasources/xsd
Discovery Profile Web Service
The discovery profile REST endpoint has been updated with new attributes. These attributes let you add or remove IP address, host, or range definitions. Use these attributes to update individual definitions instead of replacing the full list of definitions:
  • DiscoveryProfile.Add
  • DiscoveryProfile.Remove
For more information, see the REST documentation:
http://
da_host
:8581/rest/discoveryprofiles/documentation
Existing attributes which replace the definition list have
not
changed.
Geo-location Data
Performance Center
now shows any available geo-location data for devices monitored by the Data Aggregator. By default, these fields are hidden on device inventory lists. Devices can have the following geo-location attributes:
  • Elevation
  • Latitude
  • Location description
  • Longitude
You can assign the following geo-location attributes to sight groups in the group editor:
  • Elevation
  • Latitude
  • Longitude
Group Admin User Interface
The following columns were added to the Group Admin User Interface for interfaces:
  • ifAlias
  • ifType
  • Speed In
  • Speed Out
On-Demand Reports Improvement
You can now generate a Chart per Metric by Single Item. This view consists of chart groupings for each selected item or group. Each chart grouping consists of one chart for each selected metric. For more information, see On-Demand Reports.
OpenAPI Enhancements
The release introduces the following enhancement to the OpenAPI:
  • You can select metric families and metrics for groups.
  • You can now aggregate metrics to the group level.
  • You can now filter groups on metric data.
  • You can now perform TopN queries.
For more information about this API, see OpenAPI.
Reboot Events
When the system detects that a device has been rebooted, an event occurs for that device. The event type is Reconfiguration and the subtype is Rebooted.
Service Chain Monitoring
This release introduces the following improvements to the service chain view:
  • The view shows the following performance metrics for the building blocks:
    • CPU utilization
    • Memory utilization
  • The view shows alert icons on the building blocks when performance metrics exceed custom thresholds.
  • Drilldown to context pages now lets you select the context tab.
For more information, see Monitor Service Chains.
View Enhancements
The release introduces the following enhancements to views:
  • Added a time bar chart view with customizable status thresholds. For more information, see Time Bar Chart Views.
  • Improved the group scorecard table view:
    • Performance Center
now includes an option to show an Unhealthy Score column in the group scorecard table view. The column shows an overall score based on the severity and weight of each metric for each item.
    • The view now aggregates by hierarchy, which shows aggregation to the currently selected group and each child group.
    • You can now specify thresholds with up to two decimals places with the lowest value being 0.01. Values with more than two decimal places are rounded.
For more information, see Group Scorecard Table Views.
