(Optional) Reindex Monitors
You can reindex the monitors on the Threshold, Process, Log File, Windows Event, History, and Process Group tabs. Reindexing assigns a sequential value to the existing index.

You can reindex the monitors on the Threshold, Process, Log File, Windows Event, History, and Process Group tabs. Reindexing assigns a sequential value to the existing index.
After you reindex the monitors, the functionality ensures that future indexes start at the next logical base index.
Follow these steps:
- Click theResourcestab, open theConfigurepane, and expandMonitoring Templates or Policies.
- From the Templates List or Available Policies page, click the template or policy name.
- On the Summary page, click theMonitorstab.
- On the Summary page, click the appropriate monitor tab, clickAction, and selectReindex.
- On the new base index dialog, enter a numeric value for the base index.To make the existing indexes sequential, selectMake indexes contiguous.Example:1001, 1002, 1003, 1004If you do not select this option,Server Automationkeeps the gaps between indexes.Example:1001, 1010, 1020, 1030
- ClickOK.The monitors are reindexed.
