Create a History Monitor

- Click the Resources tab, open the Configure pane, expand Policies, and clickCA SystemEDGE.
- On the Available Policies page, select the policy from the table.
- On the Summary page for the policy, click Monitors.The Summary page lists the monitors that the policy manages.
- Click History.
- On the History Monitors page toolbar, click + (New).
- On the Historical Details: New dialog, configure the following process settings:
- IndexDefines the table index to use.
- PlatformSpecifies the platform.
- Description(Optional) Defines a description of the monitor.
- Object ClassSpecifies the object to monitor. The values in the drop-down list refer to the available MIB table.
- Object AttributeSpecifies the object attribute to monitor. The values in the drop-down list refer to the available attributes of the table selected as Object Class. The attribute (for example, devCapacity = 1.3.6.1.4.1.546.1.1.1.7.1.14) specifies the initial part of the MIB object (OID) to monitor with this History entry.
- Object InstanceDefines the object instance to monitor. This value (for example, .3 to monitor the third row in the device table (devTable) specifies the index part of the MIB object (OID) to monitor with this History entry.
- IntervalDefines the collection interval in a multiple of 30 seconds.
- BucketsDefines the number of samples to collect.
- Add to Performance Cube check boxSpecifies whether to collect performance cube data for this entry.
- StateSpecifies if the monitor maintenance entry is active or inactive
- Start TimeDefines the start time when the monitor is switched off and the maintenance window begins.
- Stop TimeDefines the stop time when the monitor is switched on and the maintenance window ends.
- Click SaveThe History Monitor settings are saved.
- Click Save Policy.The HIstory Monitor is loaded to the Policy.
