Create a Process Group Monitor

  1. Click the Resources tab, open the Configure pane, expand Policies, and click
    CA SystemEDGE
    .
  2. From the table on the Available Policies page, select the policy.
  3. On the Summary page for the policy, click Monitors.
    The Summary page lists the monitors that the policy manages.
  4. Click Process Group.
  5. On the History Monitors page toolbar, click + (New).
  6. On the Process Group Details: New dialog, configure the following process settings:
    • Index
      Defines the table index to use.
    • Platform
      Specifies the platform.
    • Description
      (Optional) Defines a description of the monitor.
    • Process Name
      Defines the process name. This is the regular expression (dependent of optional settings) to use for matching processes by name.
    • Interval
      Defines the evaluation interval for the monitor, in a multiple of 30 seconds.
    • User Name
      Defines the user name to match, in addition to any process name regular expression.
    • Group Name
      Defines the group name to match, in addition to any process name regular expression.
    • Severity
      Specifies the significance of the monitor on a group change
    The Maintenance Window page lets you define the following settings:
    • State
      Specifies whether the monitor maintenance entry is active or inactive
    • Start Time
      Defines the start time when the monitor is switched off and the maintenance window begins.
    • Stop Time
      Defines the stop time when the monitor is switched on and the maintenance window ends.
    The Optional Settings page lets you define the flags that can be used for the different monitor entries or history control entries.
  7. Click Save
    The Process Group Monitor settings are saved.
  8. Click Save Policy.
    The Process Group Monitor is loaded to the Policy.
