Create a Windows Event Monitor

- Click the Resources tab, open the Configure pane, expand Policies, and clickCA SystemEDGE.
- On the Available Policies page, select the policy.
- On the Summary page for the policy, click Monitors.The Summary page lists the monitors that the policy manages.
- Click Windows Event.
- On the Windows Event Monitors page toolbar, click + (New).
- On the Windows Event Details: New dialog, configure the following process settings:
- IndexDefines the table index to use.
- PlatformSpecifies the platform.
- Description(Optional) Defines a description of the monitor.
- Event LogDefines the event log to read.
- Event TypeSpecifies the event type to match.
- Source FilterDefines the source filter to use.
- Description FilterDefines the description filter to use.
- SeveritySpecifies the significance of the monitor on a match.
- StateSpecifies whether the monitor maintenance entry is active or inactive.
- Start TimeDefines the start time when the monitor is switched off and the maintenance window begins.
- Stop TimeDefines the stop time when the monitor is switched on and the maintenance window ends.
The Optional Settings subtab lets you define the flags that can be used for the various monitor entries or history control entries. - Click Save.The Windows Event Monitor settings are saved.
- Click Save Policy.The Windows Event Monitor is loaded to the Policy.
