Create CA SystemEDGE Policy
Create hse policy to define a set of monitors, AIMs to load, configuration preferences, and other settings that control how the agent runs and what it monitors. Once you create a policy, you can apply it to any number of systems running hse agents in managed mode. Policy lets you complete all configuration operations that you can manually configure locally with the benefit of a consolidated interface, pick lists, and dynamic deployment to remote systems.

- Click the Resources tab, open the Configure pane, expand Policies, and clickCA SystemEDGE.
- Click + (New) from the Available Policies toolbar on the SystemEDGE pane.
- Complete the following tasks on the New SystemEDGE Policy dialog, then click OK:
- Enter a name and description for the policy.
- Specify whether to base the policy on an existing policy.
Server Automationcreates the policy and opens a configuration screen in the right pane. - Define monitors to include.
- Define MIB extensions.
- Click Save Policy.The application saves the policy.
