Manage Package Software Delivery
The Manage SD Package action type delivers and installs, or uninstalls, software packages on target systems. A package must be one that is managed by CA Server Automation. The action requires a valid usd configuration and the target system must have the appropriate usd agent installed.

Details
section of the action definition contains the following fields:- TargetSpecifies the computer on which to install the package. Select one from the drop-down list. Alternatively, you can use automatically generated text or text extracted from event messages.
- Package NameSpecifies the software package groups already created. Select one from the drop-down list.
- ProcedureSelect one from the drop-down list. Entries on the list vary with the package you choose.
- User NameSpecifies the user name credentials required by theCA Software Deliveryagent.
- PasswordSpecifies the password associated with the user name.
- Scalability ServerSpecifies the name of the Software Delivery Scalability Server. Select one from the drop-down list.
- OS System TypeSpecifies the type of operating system on the target computer.If CA Server Automation cannot determine the OS type and there is noCA Software Deliveryagent installed on the target computer, select an OS type from the drop-down list. Complete the Target Credentials section so that CA Server Automation can install the agent package with the corresponding OS type.
- Require ApprovalSelect to specify that the ticket requires approval by a third party.CA SDM must be configured to use this option.
- Auto close ticket on approval/rejectionSelect to close the ticket after it is approved or rejected.CA SDM must be configured to use this option.
- Ticket TypesSelect a valid ticket type from the drop-down list. Depending on your configuration, valid types include:
- Default
- Incident
- Problem
- Request
CA SDM must be configured to use this option.
- TemplatesSpecifies the template to use to create a ticket. Select a template from the drop-down list. Depending on the ticket type selected, the form is populated with corresponding values.CA SDM must be configured to use this option.
