Features and Enhancements in 9.4.3.1
This release of
Spectrum
 has the following updates:
 OneClick JRE certificate is renewed.
With this update, the OneClick Console jars are signed with new certificate. When you launch the OneClick Console, you do not see any error message related to Java certification expiry.
Features and Enhancements in 9.4.3
This release of
Spectrum
has the following upgraded third-party components:
  • JDK 1.8.0_31
  • Tomcat - 7.0.59
  • Java 8
  • Jackson - 2.5.0
  • CAPKI (previously ETPKI) r5.0.1

In the CA Spectrum 9.4.3 release, CAPKI is upgraded to version 5.0.1. So, the SDM/SDC users who are upgrading from earlier spectrum versions to 9.4.3 must follow these steps:
  • If you are using custom certificates, the certificates that are generated in the earlier versions do not work with CA Spectrum 9.4.3. You must regenerate the key and certificate using the CertGen utility that is shipped in 9.4.3. (The CertGen generates a key of 2048-bit size, any certificate that you generate bypassing CertGen must also have a key size more than 1024 bits.) Refer to
    Create Site-Specific Certificates
    and
    Deploy Site-Specific Certificates
sections in the Create Certificates page for the steps that are required to create and deploy the custom Site-Specific Certificates.
  • No action required, if you are using CA shipped default SDM key and certificate, as a new certificate is automatically generated during the upgrade.

Features and Enhancements in 9.4.1
CA Spectrum 9.4.1 includes the following features and enhancements:
 Top Impacting Outages
The Top Impacting Outages is a new feature in
. You can access the Top Impacting Outages page from the
OneClick page. This page displays the most impacting outages in the infrastructure based on the Impact Count or the Impact Weight. Peak Impact Count is the maximum number of devices weighted with their individual criticality values that were unreachable because of the outage. Impact Weight is calculated by multiplying the Impact Count with the outage duration.
This feature helps IT managers and network administrators know top impacting outages and the business impact and accordingly make decisions about their network design and redundancy.
Note:
To use the Top Impacting Outages feature, you must have the Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) installed.
Chassis Support for Juniper Devices
This release of
identifies a Juniper device as a chassis device, if that device supports the jnxAnatomyMib MIB. In OneClick, the device is populated under the Chassis Manager node with all its Slot and PIC details. You can view the status of the interfaces of each PIC.
Spectrum Mobile Application
Spectrum Mobile application  lets you view the top 100 alarms through your mobile devices. This application is built on the Sencha framework and it supports both the IOS and Android platforms. The application displays detailed information of alarms such as landscape, description, date, and time.
You can download the Spectrum Mobile Application from Google Play Store or iTunes.
You can configure Spectrum Mobile to poll the Spectrum web server periodically and to obtain the recent alarms. This application lets you perform alarm actions such as view, search, filter, acknowledge, and assign troubleshooter. To connect Spectrum Mobile to the OneClick server, you must specify the host name or IP address of the OneClick server host and the server port number.
Spectrum Mobile lets you perform the following tasks with CA Spectrum alarms:
■      View the latest 100 alarms (for every polling interval).
■      Search CA Spectrum alarms by alarm title, and device name or IP address.
■      Filter CA Spectrum alarms based on severity (Critical, Major, and Minor).
■      Set the Polling Interval for Spectrum Mobile Application.
■      Assign, acknowledge, and clear alarms.
Important!
Before you launch Spectrum Mobile, connect your mobile device to your enterprise network through VPN or wi-fi. This enterprise network must be the one where the OneClick server runs. If your mobile is not connected to your enterprise network, Spectrum Mobile cannot connect to that OneClick server.
Launch Spectrum Mobile from your mobile device, and connect it to a OneClick server host. For more information, see

Enhanced Support for VPN Manager
We have improved the VPN Manager in this release of
now supports the updated MPLS-L3VPN-STD-MIB (RFC4382) for VPN Manager. The VPN Manager can now discover devices that support this MIB.
If a device supports both the old and the updated MIB, this release of
 considers the updated MIB.
Note:
The updated MIB does not change the existing VPN Manager functionality.
Integration with CA Unified Infrastructure Management for Virtualization Management
This release of
supports the integration between CA Spectrum and CA Unified Infrastructure Management (formerly known as
CA Nimsoft Monitor
) for Virtualization Management. You can enable the integration from the OneClick Administration page. When you enable the integration, all the logical entities (such as Nimsoft ResourcePool and Nimsoft Clusters) and virtual entities (such as ESX Host and Virtual Machine (VM)) that are managed by CA Unified Infrastructure Management appear in
.
Important:
If you enable the integration for VMware Management, all the entities that are managed by Virtual Host Manager (VHM) such as VMware, Hyper-V, Zones, Huawei SingleCloud, and LPAR through CA Virtual Application Insight Module (VAIM) are disabled permanently and all the existing VHM models are deleted. You must reinstall CA Spectrum for CA VAIM based Virtualization Management.
This integration supports the following features:
  • Virtualization Inventory Sync at Regular Intervals
  • Traps and Alarms Support
  • QoS VMware Metric Information
  • Launch-in-Context
  • Condition Correlation and Fault Isolation
  • Distribution of Virtual Centers (VC)s across Landscapes
