Integrate CA Cloud Monitor

You must be an UIM account contact user to access the Cloud Monitor portlet. Your UIM account must be associated with a Cloud Monitor account, and you must have the required credentials associated with this Cloud Monitor account.
Import the LAR File for CA Cloud Monitor
The CA Cloud Monitor portlet does
automatically appear in the
Add Portlet
list. You have to log in to UMP and import the LAR file to access the portlet.
The CA Cloud Monitor portlet requires the UMP user's permissions to include the
Cloud Monitor
To import a LAR file:
  1. Navigate to http://<
  2. Click on the CloudMonitor.lar link to download the file.
  3. Log in to UMP as the user that requires access to the CA Cloud Monitor portlet.
    This user must be an account contact user of an account that has a Cloud Monitor account and associated credentials.
  4. Select
    Control Panel
    My Pages
  5. Select
    Private Pages
  6. Click
    to locate the CloudMonitor.lar file on your machine.
  7. Click
    A message appears indicating that the import was successful. You can now click
    Back to Private Pages
    to return to UMP.
Configure the Cloud Monitor Server Location
The server location of your Cloud Monitor instance must be added to the wasp probe configuration.
Follow these steps:
  1. In Infrastructure Manager select the wasp probe on your hub.
  2. Press the <Shift> key as you right-click, and select
    Raw Configure.
  3. In the left pane, expand the
    folder, and select
  4. In the right pane, select the
    key, and click
    Edit Key
  5. Enter the URL of the Cloud Monitor server as the value for the url key. For example, enter
  6. Click
    , then click
    to exit the configuration screen.
Configure Access to the CA Cloud Monitor Portlet
This section describes how to configure access to the CA Cloud Monitor portlet in UMP.
The same login credentials for the CA Cloud Monitor portlet are used for each account contact user of an UIM account. However, you must manually edit the wasp configuration so that it can pass through the credentials of the UIM account that the user is associated with. If access is not properly configured, users will see the error message

when they attempt to log in.
Follow these steps:
  1. Locate the
    values you will need when you edit the wasp configuration:
    1. Log into your CA Cloud Monitor account.
    2. Click the
      menu and select the
      The reports access page opens.
    3. At the bottom of the page, look for the table labeled
      Tokens can be used to provide access on your account via external applications.
      If there is a token listed, you can use it. If not click the
      Add token
      button to create one.
      Keep this page open, as you will need the
      values found here in step 3.
  2. Verify the UIM Account name(s) to be used for CA Cloud Monitor integration:
    1. Start Infrastructure Manager and log into UIM.
    2. Click the
      menu >
      Account Administration
      . Make a note of the UIM Account name(s).
      This Account must be attached to an ACL that grants permission to
      Access to CA Cloud Monitor portlet
      . Use the
      Manage Access Control List
      on the
      menu to verify this.
  3. Modify the wasp configuration:
    1. Open wasp in Raw Configure.
    2. In the left-hand navigation pane, expand the <webapps> section, expand the <cloudmonitor> section, and locate the <accounts> section.
    3. Under <accounts>, create a new section, and name the section using the UIM account name you verified previously.
    4. Add the key
      to the <
      > section, and specify the value you located previously.
    5. Add the key
      to the <
      > section, and specify the value you located previously.
  4. Create sections as needed under the <accounts> section for additional UIM accounts.
  5. Restart wasp.
