Install Infrastructure Manager

Infrastructure Manager is a legacy management console that is required for some UIM tasks. If your primary hub server is a Windows system, CA recommends you install it on there. It also can be installed on another Windows system in your environment, and from there you can use it to manage your domain.

Infrastructure Manager is a legacy management console that is required for some UIM tasks. If your primary hub server is a Windows system, CA recommends you install it on there. It also can be installed on another Windows system in your environment, and from there you can use it to manage your domain.
Follow these steps.
  1. From the system where you want to install Infrastructure Manager, browse to your UIM Server web page (http://<
    servername_or_IP_address
    >:8080).
  2. Click the
    Installers
    tab. Under
    UIM Server Administration
    , click
    Infrastructure Manager
     to download the installer file.
  3. Run the installer, following the prompts to complete the installation.
    • CA recommends you install both Infrastructure Manager and Alarm SubConsole.
    • If you chose to install the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit, the toolkit setup wizard launches and guides you through installation.
Installation is complete. To verify that it was successful, launch the application:
Start > Programs > Monitoring > Infrastructure Manager
