All developers can browse APIs
As a user with develop rights, you can:
- Explore APIs.
- Get API keys for your applications (Org Admin only).
- View real-time data.
- Display the Proxy URL for the API on the View Documentation page of the Developer console.
Developer Roles and Permissions
There are three roles in the
API Portalfor Org Users: Org Publisher, Org Admin, and Developer. Here the word "organization" refers to a group of developers. In the
API Portal, organization administrators have more permissions than other developers. The following table shows which tasks organization administrators and developers have permission to perform. Org Publishers have permissions to deploy APIs for an organization.
If you are an Org Publisher, you have the same level of permissions as an API Owner but only within your assigned Organization. For more information, go to Manage APIs.
API Portal administrators can give organization administrators and developers permission to manage APIs directly assigned to their organization. The permission does not apply to public APIs with no organization assigned or those assigned to other organizations, or private APIs assigned to other organizations through an Account Plan.
