Monitor ECSA Storage Availability
Xmanager can now monitor the amount of ECSA storage that is in use. If the used storage exceeds your specified percentage, Xmanager terminates any active
CA Detector® for DB2 for z/OS
data collections to free up storage space. Using this parameter helps avoid potential ECSA constraints.
This functionality is provided through a new ECSA parameter, which is specified in the Xmanager started task. For more information about this parameter, see Prepare the Xmanager Started Task Procedure.
DSNZPARM Support
The following DSNZPARMs are now supported. These parameters are read-only and are accessible from the CA Thread Terminator Main Menu by selecting the View DSNZPARM Data option.
Db2 12 parameters:
  • AUTH_COMPATIBILITY
  • DDL_MATERIALIZATION
  • DEFAULT_INSERT_ALGORITHM
  • INDEX_MEMORY_CONTROL
Db2 11 parameters:
  • CDDS_MODE
  • CDDS_PREFIX
  • COMCRIT
  • DISALLOW_SEL_INTO_UNION
  • FLASHCOPY_XRCP
  • MATERIALIZE_NODET_SQLTUDF
  • MOVE_TO_ARCHIVE_DEFAULT
  • PROFILE_AUTOSTART
  • QUERY_ACCEL_WAITFORDATA
  • REMOTE_COPY_SW_ACCEL
  • RENAMETABLE
  • RETRY_STOPPED_OBJECTS
  • SQWIDSC
  • STATCLGSRT
  • SUPPRESS_HINT_SQLCODE_DYN
  • XML_RESTRICT_EMPTY_TAG
  • ZHYPERLINK
Cancel a Db2 Thread by its Thread Token
The Thread Termination\Dynamic DSNZPARM value pack component now lets you specify a thread token to select a thread for cancellation. The ability to cancel a thread by its token is useful in situations where the thread token is the only unique identification for a Db2 thread.
This functionality is enabled through the new TOKEN parameter in the SET CANCEL and SET DB2CAN commands.
For more information about the TOKEN parameter, see SET Statement Syntax.
Batch Process Displays Db2 12 Function Level
When connected to Db2 12 subsystems, the Batch Processor interface now displays the current function level during analysis execution.
DB2 Command Processor Enhancements
The DB2 Command Processor Value Pack component of the
CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS
has been updated to fix syntax issues and add missing options for the following IBM and
Broadcom

New U Line Command for Named Relationship Sets in RI Manager
A new line command U (update) is now available for Named Relationship Sets (NRS) in the RI Manager Value Pack component. You can use this command to change an existing NRS definition. For example, you can use this command to exclude one or more tables in an existing NRS definition, and then save the changes. You can then extract the updated NRS and catalog relationship set instead of creating an NRS. The updated NRS acts as a subset of the current relationship set.
To remove a parent table (with child tables), first remove the child tables of the NRS.
