SORTSIZE—Specify Sort Size for Storage Tasks
The SORTSIZE keyword specifies the sort storage size.
The SORTSIZE keyword specifies the sort storage size. The maximum value is 953 MB.
When you use SHRLEVEL CHANGE with REBUILD INDEX, the SORTSIZE keyword is passed to
Rapid Reorgfor execution during the rebuild. For a description of the SORTSIZE keyword in

This keyword has the following syntax:
- MAXReserves the maximum main storage for the sort program.
- nMReservesntimes M (M = 1,048,576) bytes of main storage, wherencan be up to 953. The size is converted to KB and rounded to the next higher 4 KB.Default:4 MB
- nKReservesntimes K (K = 1024) bytes of main storage, wherencan be up to 975,872. The size is rounded to the next higher 4 KB.
