administrator.
The following implementation tasks are discussed in this section. After completing these tasks, the product can be customized to meet the specific needs of your organization. For information about customization, see Administrating.
  1. The administrator must work with the Systems Programmer to complete the Installation Plan worksheets.
  2. After installation, the following implementation tasks are required:
    • If you are installing
      CA Endevor SCM
      for the first time, we recommend that you use the Best Practice Implementation. You can use the Best Practice Implementation steps with minimum customization to set up a fully scalable software development environment that is complete and includes a lifecycle and inventory structure. For more information about the Best Practice Implementation, see Perform a Best Practice Implementation.
      If you are not using the Best Practice Implementation, use the sample application to test your implementation of
      CA Endevor SCM
      and to gain a better understanding of the features.
    • If you are an existing client and
      CA Endevor SCM
      is installed and configured at your site, use the sample application or your existing data to test your installation.
