The MAXUSERS command is used to control the maximum number of concurrent users.
The system default of maximum concurrent users is 500, but a non-default MAXUSERS value can be retained after a recycle of the region by using the parameter 'MAXUSERS ####'.
Add the parameter 'MAXUSERS ####' to the start-up
User Initialization Procedure
parameter file. The name of this procedure is specified in the ACINIT parameter group of Customizer, with a default name of $ACINIT. The file is stored in the TESTEXEC library.

Function
Displays and limits the maximum number of concurrent users logged on to your product region. 
Syntax
MAXUSERS < number >
Use
The MAXUSERS command can be used to limit the maximum number of concurrent users of your product region at any one time. During a
period of critical system load, you may want to limit the number of users. If entered without any operands, the current number of users and the current limit is displayed.
An authority level of 3 is required to execute this command.
Operands
number
Sets a new limit to the number of concurrent users. Displays the current number of users and the limit if number is omitted.
Range
0-9999. The system default is 500.

This limit applies to the number of active users only. It does not restrict the number of terminals that may be under the control of the EASINET facility.
