Weekly VM Availability Report shows the availability of a VM system on an hourly basis for the identified day and computing system.
The management objective to be tracked for evaluating the availability of the VM system is a measure of the number of minutes that the VM SCP was active within an hour of the day.
The only user option that applies to this report is the Hourly VM Uptime Limit, which is the target number of uptime minutes per hour, generally set to 60.
&VMCWUTX sets the vertical axis of the hourly uptime chart. &VMCWUT defines the hourly uptime target for daily and weekly reporting. Therefore, to define a target hourly uptime of 60 minutes per hour, code:
%LET VMCWUTX = 60; %LET VMCWUT = 60;
A full description of the user options is provided in the VM Report Options.
The following figure, Weekly VM Availability Report, illustrates the Weekly VM Availability Report based on a management objective of no outage time (60 minutes uptime) per hour. The sample report shown here quantifies the system available time with the horizontal axis representing the hours of the seven days and the vertical axis charting the number of uptime minutes incurred.
The management objective is to not incur any outage time. Therefore, any time a charted bar fails to reach the 60 minute reference line, the VM availability objective was missed for that hour in the week.
