Shared Address Space Analysis Report
The Shared Address Space Analysis report is designed to help analyze how much physical memory the virtual machine is using by tracking residency data for each virtual machine.

Intended use
The Shared Address Space Analysis report provides information on DASD page activity, main storage activity including expanded storage, pages stolen, pages locked, and resident pages available for all shared address spaces on a z/VM system. This report can help predict when more physical memory needs to be brought online. This information is essential to tracking the memory residency of VDISK address spaces.
Format
A tabular listing that contains one line of information for each address space active during the reporting period. The report is ordered by ascending Owner sequence (lowest to highest). In addition to the Owner, the following columns are shown on the report:

Defined address space size
Under Address Space Storage:
Resident:
LT 2GB
number of pages less than 2GB that were resident
GT 2GB
number of pages greater than 2GB that were resident
Locked:
LT 2GB
number of pages residing in storage less than 2GB locked by the address space
GT 2GB
number of pages residing in storage greater than 2GB locked by the address space
Paged Out:
DASD
number of pages read from DASD into main storage
XSTOR
number of pages read from expanded storage into main storage
Under Pages Per Second:
Stolen
number of page frames taken from the address space per second
DASD:
IN
number of pages written from main storage to DASD per second
OUT
number of pages written from DASD to main storage per second
Expanded Storage:
IN
number of pages written to expanded storage from main storage per second
OUT
number of pages read from expanded storage into main storage per second
Mig
number of pages migrated from DASD to expanded storage per second
