Use the PRTMOD command to modify a printer node definition online using a predefined DEFNODE definition.
This command has the following format:
PRTMOD,
nodename
[,D=
defnode
] [,G=] [,A=] [,L=] [,V=] [,H=] [,P=]
  • nodename
    Defines the name of the printer node to be modified.
    Limits:
    1 to 8 characters
  • D=
    defnode
    (Optional) Defines the predefined DEFNODE printer model used by the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 8 characters
  • G=
    (Optional) Defines the network group number of the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 5
  • A=
    (Optional) Defines the alias name assigned to the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 8 characters
  • V=
    (Optional) Defines the virtual printer name (VTAM application name) assigned to the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 8 characters
  • L=
    (Optional) Defines the printer location or description assigned to the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 16 characters
  • H=
    (Optional) Defines the TCP/IP host symbolic name or IP address assigned to the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 64 characters
  • P=
    (Optional) Defines the TCP/IP printer queue name assigned to the printer.
    Limits:
    1 to 32 characters
