The VERIFY control statement logically verifies and corrects (if necessary) the structure and allocations of the data in the database.

The VERIFY control statement logically verifies and corrects (if necessary) the structure and allocations of the data in the database.
Before you issue the VERIFY control statement, perform these tasks:
  • Shut down all activity in the CA View database, including all user access and all CA View and CA Deliver started tasks that point to the database.
  • Verify that the high-level name of the database is defined with either the NAME control statement or the PARM parameter of the EXEC JCL statement.

While the VERIFY utility is running, do not cancel it unless you are advised to do so by
Broadcom Support

Check the output log file of the VERIFY job to see if any corrective actions occurred.
