Define the ORDERSERVER Input for RECEIVE ORDER

The SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER command uses the ORDERSERVER data set to provide necessary information about the CA Automated Order Server. The information appears with the <ORDERSERVER> tag. Attributes are defined in detail in SMP/E for z/OS Commands in the IBM documentation. The following text shows an example with a brief description of key fields.

  • url
    Specifies the URL for the order server. The actual URL for the CA Automated Order Server is
    https://eapi.broadcom.com/receiveorder

  • inventory
    Specifies that the generated CSI inventory file is to be in XML format. The CA Automated Order Server does not support the default format of inventory=ibm.
  • keyring
    Identifies the key ring that contains the user certificate that is required for access to the order server. If the key ring is owned by a user ID other than the ID used to run SMP/E, the key ring name must be prefixed with the associated user ID. The user ID and key ring name must be separated by a forward slash. For example, keyring="USER1/SMPERING".
  • certificate
    Specifies the label to identify the
    User Certificate
    that is used for access to the CA Automated Order Server. You obtain this certificate from Broadcom Support Online and add it to your security product database. See Obtain the Certificates for CA SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval.
