Viewing and customizing web quota alerts
When a user is blocked from web browsing because a time or bandwidth quota is reached, the browser displays the web quota alert.
- To view the default quota alert
- ClickServices>Web Security Services>Web URL Filtering>Alerts.
- Click theQuota Alertstab.
- WithUse Defaultselected, clickPreview.
- To customize the quota alert
- ClickServices>Web Security Services>Web URL Filtering>Alerts.
- Click theQuota Alertstab.
- ClickUse Customand enter your message. Use HTML to format the message. You can also use the following placeholders, which are replaced by the relevant information when a page is blocked:
- %U - the URL of the page that is blocked
- %R - the name of the rule that was triggered to block the page
- %C-en-US– the category name, displayed in English
- %C-de-DE – the category name, displayed in German
- %C-ja-JP– the category name, displayed in Japanese
Do not include a link. Users see this custom message only when web browsing is blocked after they reach their quota limit. As a result, they cannot follow any links to external web sites. - ClickPreviewto view the message.
- When you are satisfied with your changes, clickSave and Exit.
