Viewing and customizing web quota alerts

When a user is blocked from web browsing because a time or bandwidth quota is reached, the browser displays the web quota alert.
  1. To view the default quota alert

  3. Click the
    Quota Alerts
    tab.
  4. With
    Use Default
    selected, click
    Preview
    .
  5. To customize the quota alert

  7. Click the
    Quota Alerts
    tab.
  8. Click
    Use Custom
    and enter your message. Use HTML to format the message. You can also use the following placeholders, which are replaced by the relevant information when a page is blocked:
    • %U - the URL of the page that is blocked
    • %R - the name of the rule that was triggered to block the page
    • %C-en-US– the category name, displayed in English
    • %C-de-DE – the category name, displayed in German
    • %C-ja-JP– the category name, displayed in Japanese
    Do not include a link. Users see this custom message only when web browsing is blocked after they reach their quota limit. As a result, they cannot follow any links to external web sites.
  9. Click
    Preview
    to view the message.
  10. When you are satisfied with your changes, click
    Save and Exit
    .
