Standalone Quarantine in a Shared-Policy Cluster

Learn about communication among Control Center and quarantine instances in a shared-policy cluster.
Beginning with Symantec Messaging Gateway version 10.8.0, in a shared-policy cluster, each Control Center (remote and central) can have its own quarantine. The quarantine can be part of the Control Center, or it can be a standalone quarantine.
Like the policy-sharing feature, standalone quarantine instances are isolated. A cluster can contain a central Control Center and one or more remote Control Centers, and each central and remote Control Center can be attached to a quarantine server. However, the quarantine servers that are attached to remote Control Centers cannot communicate with the central Control Center, and the quarantine servers that are attached to the central Control Center cannot communicate with the remote Control Centers.
See (Policy sharing) Configuring policies on a central or remote Control Center for information about creating and deploying a shared-policy cluster for email content filtering.
See About Standalone Quarantine for a description of how to create and deploy standalone quarantine instances.
