Recovering agents in the inconsistent state

  1. Log on to the management console as an administrator.
  2. Go to
    Assets > Agent Install
    .
  3. Click
    Installation Status
    .
    When you log on to a new session of the management console for the first time after the management server crash, by default, the
    Show
    drop-down list displays the agents which were assigned the INCONSISTENT STATE status. The
    Start Date
    and
    End Date
    fields display the earliest and latest dates on which you have agents in the inconsistent status.
  4. Select the agents which you want to recover, and click
    Recover Agents
    .
  5. When prompted, enter the administrator credentials of the assets.
After the recovery of the agents with inconsistent status, the following status might be assigned to the agents and you must perform the required action:
  • UPGRADE FAILED: Start the upgrade process of the agents again from the management console.
  • UPGRADE SUCCESSFUL: No action required.
  • INSTALLATION FAILED: Start the deployment process of the agents from the management console.
  • INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL: No action required.
  • RECOVERY FAILED: Initiate the recovery process of the agents again.
