Mapping tags to firewall policies by using firewall templates

  1. To map tags to firewall policies
  2. Go to the
    Manage > Tags
    page.
  3. Click
    +
    to add/create a new tag.
    The
    Add Tag
    page is displayed.
  4. Enter a name for the tag. Type a new category or select an existing category for the tag.
  5. Under the
    Mandates
    section, select mandates or regulations to associate with the tag.
  6. Under the
    Select Security Control
    section, expand
    Firewall > Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Firewall
    . The available application profiles are listed. Select one or more such application profiles.
  7. Under the
    Map Security Questions
    section, select the question from the drop-down and click
    Add
    .
    Also, select the responses to the questions. The question and the response is associated with the tag that you are adding.
  8. Click
    Save
    to add/create the tag.
What happens next?
By default, the tag that you create is displayed as the first entry in the grid on the
Manage > Tags
page. The tag that is yet to be published appears in a draft state. Select the tag and click
Publish
.
The state of the tag changes to
Needs Approval
. The security administrator gets a notification under the
Monitor > Notifications
page. On approval, the state of the tag changes to
Published
.
