Configuring clients to download content from an external LiveUpdate server
Symantec Endpoint Protection Managerprovides updates to Windows clients. To help mitigate network overloads for Windows client updates, you should also let clients get updates from a LiveUpdate server. Linux and Mac clients must get updates from a LiveUpdate server, or you can set up the Apache web server as a reverse proxy to download updates from the management server. See:

- In the console, open a LiveUpdate policy, and clickEdit
- UnderWindows Settings,Mac Settings, orLinux Settings, clickServer Settings.
- ClickUse the default Symantec LiveUpdate serveror specify another LiveUpdate server. If needed, specify your proxy configuration.
