Adding Explicit Criteria to the Filter in ITMS Management Views
You can include filters or lists of resources to the filter, or exclude them.
Symantec recommends that you do not use filters with the static lists that contain more than 1000 computers. When a filter contains a static list of 1000 computers or more, the evaluation of such a filter can take a longer time than usual.
To include a static filter that contains 1000 or more computers, Symantec recommends that you use the SQL or the Query Builder filter.
- To add explicit criteria to the filter in ITMS Management Views
- In the Symantec Management Platform, on theManagemenu, clickComputers.
- In the navigation pane, underFilters, click the filter that you want to configure.
- In the content pane, in the upper right corner, click the double arrows to expand the filter details.
- ClickAdd Explicit Criterialist, and then clickInclude FilterorInclude List.In theInclude FilterorInclude Computer Listdialog box, use the arrows to move the resources between the columns.ClickOK.
- (Optional) ClickExclude FilterorExclude List.In the dialog box that opens, choose the filter or computers that you want to exclude, and then clickOK.
- (Optional) To view only the explicit criteria, in the content pane, click theUse only explicit criteriasymbol.
- Click theSave Filtersymbol.
- In theSave Filterdialog box, specify the name and the location of the filter, and then clickOK.
