Symantec Management Agent for Windows Installation Prerequisites

Before you can install Symantec Management Agent, you need to configure the computers and verify that they meet the installation prerequisites.

Firewall
The computer must be able to communicate with Symantec Management Platform through the computer’s firewall.
Perform any of the following:
  • Enable
    File and Printer Sharing
    in the firewall settings.
  • Add port UDP 138, TCP 445, TCP 80 (or TCP 443 for HTTPS) and ICMP type 8 as inbound port exceptions. You can add the ports by using a group policy.
  • Turn off the firewall.
