Creating a Resource Lookup Key
A resource lookup key is a unique value for a resource type that is used to match-up the resources between the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the data source.
This task is a step in the process for importing and exporting data.
- To create a resource lookup key
- In the Symantec Management Console, on theSettingsmenu, clickAll Settings.
- In the left pane, expandSettings > Notification Server > Connector.
- Right-clickResource Lookup Keysand then clickNew > Resource Lookup Key.
- In the right pane, specify the following settings:Target Resource TypeResource type for which the lookup key is specified.Select a data classLets you select the data class that contains the value you want to use as the lookup key.Use in KeyCheck boxes for specifying the lookup key.
- ClickSave changes.
