About the Software Filters Tree

The
Software Filters
tree is part of the
Software
Management view.
In the
Software Filters
tree, you can do the following:
  • Search for filters by the name.
  • Manage the folders and filters through the right-click menu (for example, rename, delete, clone, move, add to or remove the filter from the
    Favorites
    folder).
  • Add the filters to the
    Favorites
    folder for quick access.
  • Choose which filters to display. To do this, right-click the filter tree, and then click
    Show/Hide Filters
    . The selected configuration is saved for each individual user.
  • Create new folders and software filters.
In the
Software Filters
tree, the following folders are displayed by default:

Favorites
In this folder, you can store the links to the most commonly used filters.
Each user can create their own lists of commonly used filters.
The folder contains the following default filters:
  • Discovered Unreviewed Software
  • Installed Products
Software Catalog
The folder contains the following software filters:
  • Managed Products
  • Undefined Software
  • Unmanaged Software
All Software
The folder contains the following software filters:
  • All Software Components
  • All Software Products
  • All Software Releases
  • All Software Service Packs
    This filter does not include software imported with Patch Import.
  • All Software Updates
    This filter does not include software imported with Patch Import.
These filters contain imported software items and group them according to the item type. You can create custom software filters on the basis of these default filters.
Deliverable Software
The folder contains the filters for the deliverable software.
Licensed Software
The folder contains the filters for the licensed software products.
Metered Software
The folder contains the filters for the metered software products.
Published Software
The folder contains the
Published Software Releases
filter for software releases published to Software Portal.
Each user can create a custom filter structure and combine the filters and folders in any way. However, the default filters cannot be moved between the folders. Also, you cannot move the default folders.
